How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?
I started in mid-September 2017. A few close friends had been going and were having great success. In May 2017 I had surgery for breast cancer and had just completed radiation in August. I felt sluggish and had gained weight and was looking for a better way to eat, lose weight and feel healthier.
What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself?
My clothes fit better. Along with regular exercise and my new eating style I’ve lost body fat, pounds and inches. I feel more energetic and just feel healthier overall. I’m happy to eat home and prepare a delicious easy meal instead of always going out or ordering in. I feel hopeful for my future in that I have learned a new way to approach food and healthy eating to help me continue to achieve my goals.
What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?
This time in trying to get healthier and lose weight, I have learned a new way of life. Not just a diet. I can now apply what I’ve learned anywhere, anytime and it has changed my whole lifestyle. I am eating enough food that I’m satisfied and not walking around feeling hungry. Also, the recipes are amazing and easy and I’ve been planning ahead and cooking a few times a week for the first time in my life! My family loves the meals and we are all eating healthier as a result.
What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?
Stick with it. Once you get into the habit of eating this new way, it will become second nature. Also, if you have a weekend where you have eaten out a lot or have gone on vacation, start eating right again as soon as you can. You will be surprised but those extra pounds will come off very quickly! Don’t cancel an appointment because you’ve had a “bad” week. You will learn that you can rebound quickly and get back on track and the pounds will come off. You can lose weight and still eat without starving yourself. You can still eat out and you don’t have to give up your favorite foods, you just have to fit them into your new lifestyle. And with your Nutritionista you can plan ahead for the coming week so you can be successful with your weekly goals.
Favorite NM Recipe/Product?
I have so many favorite recipes it’s hard to name only a few. The Pesto Chicken, Boneless Chicken Wing Bites, Coconut Shrimp and Shrimp Boil Packets have become family favorites! The recipes are easy to make and absolutely delicious. Even I can make them! My son (the picky eater) is eating foods he has never eaten before. He looks at the new recipes I get every week and chooses what I make.

I am a believer! The hype is real! It’s not a diet. It’s a way of life. Michelle is so knowledgeable, passionate and adorable. She really has found her calling in life. She has not only taught me how to eat healthier and lose weight at a good steady pace, but she actually teaches me every week about a different aspect of nutrition/eating/food. I’m getting an education as well as developing a new healthier way of living. Nutrish Mish was exactly what I needed and everyone I know has had success there as well. Thank you!!
