Congrats to our Transformation Tuesday star, Chris!!

How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?

I have been seeing Danielle M. at Nutrish Mish on a weekly basis since February 17, 2020. I knew I'd been putting on some pounds (205 as of that day), but apparently that wasn't enough of a wake up call until my blood test results revealed my glucose levels were entering the pre diabetic range. 99 is the upper limit of normal and mine was 103, A1C was 5.4. Type 2 runs on my father's side, therefore I panicked and thought my future health conditions would mimic my father's. At 55 years of age I realized I'm not invincible anymore.

What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself (mindset wise, habit wise, etc)?

As of today, June 30, 2020 I now weigh 179lbs. My blood glucose level is now 95 with the A1C of 5.0! This is from a combination of eating healthier and more efficiently. Im happy with my new eating habits along with my indulgences. I also started jogging, doing jumping jacks, push ups, sit ups and leg raises. I believe my endurance has never been so good. I feel more limber with increased strength.

What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?

Watching how my father succumbed to his ailments and allowing my mind to spiral into fear of it happening to me.

What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?

Be determined to make healthy changes. Follow the guidelines of the Nutrish Mish personalized meal generators. Have trust in the knowledge of your nutritionist. I adhered to Danielle's guidance and have nothing but positive results. Final piece of advice is do not lie with the food journal and indulgences! You'd only be cheating yourself.

Favorite NM Recipe/Product?

Lemon Chicken. Super easy, flavorful and a great summer entree.

Anything else you would like to add:

My sister Jackie Pepe-Tardalo referred my wife Claudia, who then referred me. Danielle Monheit has guided me with her expertise and encouragement. She was so confident that burning calories and excercing would definitely improve my blood test results. Well, it's working. Every bit of guidance and education received from Danielle was accurate and logical. I have her to thank along with the challenge to maintain my weight and health while enjoying my indulgences!
