How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?
I have been going to Nutrish Mish since July, I started because I had a breakup and I wanted to make a positive change for myself.
What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself?
My biggest transformation was mentally. It was one less worry of what to wear that hides my body and what to order at a restaurant. Being able to eat, dress and be more comfortable with myself was my biggest transformation and more than I expected when i started this process.
What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?
I tried all the fad diets, googled meal plans and methods to lose weight. Nothing lasted because life, family parties and events happen.
I needed a change to my lifestyle but also on my thoughts on food and what healthy eating actually meant. Having Bari's guidance, the Facebook group, the appointments and the support was a huge motivator. It felt good to have someone to ask how to maintain taking care of myself and maintaining my progress even when life gets difficult.
What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?
I thought that if i lost weight i would be happy. But the truth is I lost weight before this (and gained it back) but i was still unhappy. If you're feeling upset about how you look or how you feel in your skin, you've taken the right step towards changing that. At first it may be hard to change old habits, but trying new things means you won't get the same results you've always gotten. Before you know if the results will motivate you. After that it will be the change in your lifestyle and your mood that will push you to keep going. You can do it!
Favorite NM Recipe/Product?
My favorite NM product is the chocolate protein mix. But I can't forget to mention the overnight oats!
Anything else you would like to add:
I couldn’t be happier working with Nutrish Mish getting me to the goal we mapped out on day 1. It was a team effort and Michelle made sure to keep me on track. I learned a lot along the way, and really do feel like a new person and love seeing where the transformation has taken me but I am still not done as I have a little work left to do in 2017.
