How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?

I started coming to Nutrish Mish in June after I received a free consultation when I signed up for Orange Theory Fitness in Carle Place. I was heavy growing up and was carrying the last fifteen pounds for the last few years and I always wanted to lose it. Danielle was very nice, knowledgeable, and realistic about everything in my consultation so I decided to try it for the summer. I lost the weight and now know how to eat happy and healthy for the rest of my life!

What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself?

The biggest transformation that I have seen in myself is that I am much happier since I have less anxieties about food. This is because I learned what and when is best to eat in terms of incorporating protein, healthy fats and carbs and watching ingredient lists for things like artificial sweeteners. The structure from Nutrish Mish helps me during my busy college schedule to plan ahead for my snacks and meals so I can avoid eating things that won’t be healthy or satisfying.

What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?

In the past, I have tried Jenny Craig and dieting on my own but nothing was sustainable like what I learned with Nutrish Mish. I was able to lose weight while still eating large and healthy meals that gave me more energy and even cleared my skin. Diets like Jenny Craig and things I have tried on my own were restrictive in terms of portion size or cutting out entire food groups such as carbohydrates. As someone who works out and always on the run with classes, I have a big appetite and need carbs for energy so the Nutrish Mish plan is satisfying and is something I am happy following for the rest of my life.

What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?

For someone just starting with Nutrish Mish, I would recommend being open minded and open to learning more about food. It is also helpful to know that the nutritionists will ease you into a healthier lifestyle as opposed to making you cut things out cold turkey style. They really personalize every plan and make sure you’re eating food that you enjoy!

Favorite NM Recipe/Product?

My favorite Nutrish Mish product is the Vanilla Protein Powder. I use the protein powder in my smoothies and overnight oats since it tastes amazing and really satisfies my sweet tooth. My favorite Nutrish Mish recipe is the buffalo chicken meatballs. I love foods like buffalo chicken wings so this recipe allows me to eat a healthy version of my favorite foods.
