Congrats to this week's Transformation Tuesday star, Kimmy!

How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?

I started just over a year ago. I joined Ilovekickboxing Beathpage at The Karate Academy. On my first day Larry told me about NutrishMish and I was signed up for my first appointment. I  started my fitness journey because I was tired of feeling like I was limiting myself because of my physical abilities and being self conscious because of my weight. At the time my daughter was 5months old and I wanted to be an example of a healthy lifestyle and creating an environment where she would be set for success.

What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself?

I think the biggest change is in over all self. I am more confident, happy, energetic, and proud of how I look. Another big one I have become a Jogger!!

What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?

learned to trust the process. I had weeks where I made tons of progress, and others where I went the wrong direction. In the past if I didn't see positive results I would snowball and would never get back on it. A big one is that I never feel restricted here. I know what I can eat and what I can't to see results. The idea of budgeting the "not so nutrishmish approved items" is amazing.  For me it makes meal planning seem fun. The third major difference is I actually learned some of the science behind why some foods are better than other. I always heard "don't eat blank" but never was told why. I feel knowing why certain foods are not good to eat makes me more aware of what I am buying.

What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?

Trust the process!! If you don't see results in week one it will catch up to in week 3 or 4. The other big one is something I have been told in multiple appointments. Slow progress is progress. It takes time.

Favorite NM Recipe/Product?

love the cleanse. It just makes me feel good.

Anything else you would like to add:

It has been amazing being able to go in for appointments and figure out what works for me. I was so nervous at first that I would be judged, yelled at, and misunderstood, but that was not the case. I have been with two Nutritionististas during my time and both have been absolutely amazing I couldn't have asked for better people to help me on this journey. I am still a work in progress and can't wait to see what the future holds.
