"What should I bring for lunch?" is never a fun question to ask yourself. Sometimes, you just have nothing prepared, or you're just bored of the same old thing every day. Get creative with "adult lunchables"! Get yourself a bento box or a sectioned off lunch container and start making some fun combinations. Here are 5 ideas to get some inspiration going:
1. BLT Box
All the fun and flavor of a BLT on toast but deconstructed!
-2-3 slices uncured lean turkey bacon
-1/4 avocado, sliced
-3 romaine lettuce leaves
-3 slices of tomato
-2 whole grain wasa crackers
2. Banana Rollups Box
-1 low carb tortilla
-1 banana
-2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
Spread peanut butter on low carb tortilla. Place peeled banana in the center of the tortilla and roll it up. Then take a knife and cut into little "pinwheels".
3. Caprese Bento
-2 oz fresh mozzarella cheese
-grape tomatoes
-tsp balsamic vinegar
-1 whole wheat pita pocket sliced into triangles
separate each ingredient in different containers of a sectioned off container.
4. Protein Power Rollup Box
-4 thin slices turkey breast
-1 oz cheese
-handful fresh spinach
-1 cup mixed berries
-2 tsp hummus
-layer each turkey slice with a spread of hummus, thin slice of cheese, and a few spinach leaves. Roll them up into 4 roll ups and place them into your container alongside the mixed berries.
5. Snack Lover's Box
-15 baby carrots
-1/4 cup hummus
-15 raw cashews or almonds
-1 apple, sliced
6. Veggie Protein Power Box
-1/2 cup edamame
-1/2 cup roasted chickpeas
-1/4 cup mixed nuts
7. No Prep Protein Bar Box
-1 protein bar, cut into bite sized squares
-1 banana
as easy as unwrap, peel, eat!
8. Fruit & Nut Snack Box
-1/4 cup mixed nuts
-handful of freeze dried fruit
-1 oz cheese
9. Chicken Guacamole Box
-4oz grilled chicken strips
-2 tbsp guacamole
