Congrats to our Transformation Tuesday star, Tarragh!!
How long have you been coming to Nutrish Mish? What made you start?
This is my 3rd time with Nutrish Mish. I started 4 years ago after gaining weight from pregnancy. I then stopped and gained back a few pounds. I came back for 3 months to help get back on track 2 years ago and started back up again in August 2020 and have been going strong since. I am now finally at my goal weight!
What has been the biggest transformation you have seen in yourself (mindset wise, habit wise, etc)?
The biggest transformation for me was changing my mindset on how much I need to eat. Prior to starting with Nutrish Mish, I was eating very little throughout the day and then overeating late at night. By learning to eat more complete satisfying meals and spacing out my snacks it helped me to stop overeating.
What was a misconception you had before starting Nutrish Mish? In what way has your mindset on food/nutrition/health changed?
When I first started, I thought the program was only going to have me add more protein to my diet since I don’t eat meat. They did teach me different ways to add protein to my diet, but they also helped me correct my portions, taught me how to space out meals and snacks and gave me advice on how to help me stay on track.
What made this time different then other times you have tried to get healthier or lose weight?
When I came back to Nutrish Mish, I realized I needed to focus on limiting my indulgences. For me this has always been a great challenge. However realizing that a bite here there adds up and it is best to plan your indulgences and save the for something you really want. By doing this, it has helped me to feel satisfied and not overeat.
What advice would you have for someone just starting with Nutrish Mish?
Stick with it. It sometimes can take numerous attempts to get it right, but once it does click just right this program will work for you. Eating well is not only physical, it is just as much mental.
